Pecan Carmel Popcorn

1 cup butter or margarine, melted
½ cup light corn syrup
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup pecans, chopped
6 qt popcorn, warm


1.Preheat oven to 250 F.

2. In saucepan, combine butter or margarine, brown sugar, and syrup. Boil for 5 minutes. (Do not stir.)

3. Mix vanilla and baking soda and stir together pecans, salt, and popcorn.

4. Pour sugar mixture over popcorn and stir until coated.

5. Spread in 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Home of many nuts and quite a few squirrels.
